My Past

Now, a little background about me.  I live in Wisconsin, near my three adult children and two granddaughters.

Through my earlier life experiences, I built a belief system based around not being worthy or good enough and destined to work hard with no real joy or happiness in my world.  Of course this mind set brought toxic relationships into my life.  I didn’t feel I deserved anything better.

After two emotionally destructive marriages, I started wondering what life really had in store for me. There had to be more in life than just getting by and settling.  It was hard for me to put into words what I wanted.  I had no idea where to start.  I felt that having “fun” in life was irresponsible.  You were supposed to worry about what “they” thought.

All I knew was I wanted to smile, laugh and enjoy life.  Life is too short to waste on being negative.

A Step in the Right Direction

Once I made this decision, I was surprised to find my dreams were still there, waiting for me to acknowledge them.  That being said, I still wasn’t sure how to proceed!  The analyst in me started looking for the “How-To’s.”  Didn’t you need permission to change?  Who did I think I was?  What did I have to offer?  With those feelings, how could I possibly go for my dreams!  I was confused and frustrated.

A few years ago, I finally opened up to finding solutions and answers began to appear for me.  One step led to another step, which led to another step, and so on…  It was amazing to meet open-minded people who supported these new ideas.  These people were there all along, I just never heard them because of my mind set.

Opportunities to learn and grow started showing up in my life.  Through Personal Development courses, mentors and informational books, I began to understand that I AM in charge of writing the story of my life.  I have the choice to decide what type of life to embrace.  I can replace my old programs with new, supportive programs.  It was an amazing discovery for me!

Moving Forward

Is it easy changing a mind set that’s been with me for so many years?  Nope, it’s an on-going process.

Is it worth it?  Absolutely without a doubt!

This journey is both exciting and interesting.  Filled with plenty of bumps and falls combined with lots of trial and error.   Many times I wonder “What am I thinking?”  The thing is, I wake up every morning, ready to go at it again.  Yes, there are times I face doubt, worry and fear; times I wonder if I can take the next step.  In the end, it’s really a matter of how determined I am to achieve my Life’s Passions and contribute to others by living my dream life.

Each and every one of us has our own personal journey to travel.  My wish is to connect, grow and learn together with you.  I created this space to share and support each other along the way.

Join me on my journey into the possibilities that abound in life.  I would love to support you on your journeys.  If you are interested in learning more, please join this site and connect with me on Facebook.
