Meet Malin Berdette, World Traveler Extraordinaire
Welcome back! I appreciate you and your support. You can still subscribe to my RSS Feed Thanks for visiting! Have an awesome day!
It’s one thing to talk about stepping outside the box and quite another to actually do it. I have the privilege of knowing just such a person who has taken that to heart. She is not only stepping outside the box, she is jumping off the ledge without being able to see the bottom! I met this amazing woman last February in San Diego, CA at Klemmer & Associates Heart of the Samurai Seminar.
We affectionately named her “The Connector.”
Here’s her story:
I packed a bag, gave away my belongings & got going.
I am on the road for 610 days, pursuing my vision.
I love ideas, action, to make a difference.
I explore joy, adventures, my life.
Contact me to collaborate!
Malin Berdette, 28, describes herself as a “global dreamer, traveling the world turning my visions into reality”. She is originally from Sweden but currently traveling the world for 610 days for her project “Win Win World Tour.” Malin can be found on Facebook and Twitter.
Can you imagine setting a goal to be away from everything you know for over a year and a half! Being so passionate about your dream yet having no idea what mechanisms will show up to assist you! How many of us would be that comfortable with being uncomfortable?
There have been times when taking the next step has been daunting. Everything from financial issues to logistical and personal issues have been faced. I remember Malin saying that usually after she’s had an emotional break over something, she’s pushed ahead and broken through to a solution. Talk about trusting the Universe! Simply amazing!
Malin is going to be in the states from the beginning of March through April. She is collaborating with a team from Sandbox, a community of bright young leaders determined to change the world by creating innovative ventures. They are visiting schools in New York, Rhode Island, Chicago, San Diego and San Francisco. She also collaborates with THINK Global School – the world’s first global mobile high school.
In her own words:
“Ultimately we’re encouraging a sustainable transformation of the current system
into a variety of models that work for the 21st century.”
How you can support their expedition:
We’re looking for hosts in the different places we’re visiting.
(we pay towards expenses and organize our own food).
Do you or someone you know have a spare couch or a guest room?
If you would like to get in touch with me, receive more information or
offer hosting, please contact me at malin@winwinworldtour.com
My support
Sharing her journey is my way of supporting her dreams. I am honored to be able to connect you to an awesome person who is making change happen, one step at a time. For all I know, one of you reading this may be able to assist Malin’s journey by sharing connections or contacts along the way.
The world has need of more people willing to take that leap of faith and pursue their passions to create change. Are you ready?
Thank you for allowing me to share this story with you. Next time things seem impossible, that there’s no solution; remember Malin and the fact that she is NOT taking no for an answer! My wish for you is that you stand strong for YOUR dreams, never give up. I know you can do it because you are a spectacular person.
Believe it, you are

Val, I love the phrase “Being comfortable with being uncomfortable.” This line captures the essence of a true explorer, someone who is not afraid to get out there and chase their passions! And this young woman certainly has that passion.
I really like the idea of featuring people like this on our blogs. I have been mulling over some thoughts about doing it and your post has given me some more ideas. Thanks!

Val,
Great timing! My wife and I were in Nashville over the weekend. We met an entertainer that is doing some Walking and raising some awareness for his project as well. Read your post and instantly thought of him.

Val,
Thanks for sharing Malin’s journey with us. This is a really inspiring post…trusting for provision on the journey. Reminds me of a great prophet’s instructions to his followers to “take no food with you…” Makes one ask, “What anchors hold one back from doing the same?” Thought provoking.

Wow! So inspiring! While I’ve sold up everything and moved to another country knowing no-one and nothing, I haven’t had that thrill of the LEAP in quite a while.

What a Great friend to have met. I often think that at times we all are capable of doing amazing things. However, many of us don’t stretch as much as we could and don’t get too uncomfortable. Malin seems to just go with the flow from the sounds of it.
I’m in San Diego…we’re moving in less than 2 weeks and we’re downsizing so space accommodations aren’t possible. Do you know when she’ll be in San Diego?

I am amazed at the progress Malin is making in reaching her goal. I think her ideas about the global school and changing up our outlook on education is something which needs to be addressed.
Thanks Beth,
